Tournament Information

Programs and Tickets for Team Members and Coaches

Each person included on your team information sheet will be provided a ticket and two programs. If you need additional tickets please see Peter Contreras at the 9:00 am coaches meeting on Thursday for 4A and Friday for 5A. Additional programs must be purchased from the program vendors. Please meet in the conference room on the ground floor of the press box side (west) of the stadium for the coaches meeting.

Schedule

No workouts will be scheduled prior to the tournament and participating teams may not use the facility.

The National Anthem will be played prior to the first game of the session.

Team Pictures

Team pictures will be taken prior to the semi final games. If your game follows another in a session, report for pictures before game time. These pictures will be made without warm-ups and will include managers and coaches. Players' numbers should correspond with the program roster. If there are errors, please contact the tournament director before the pictures are taken.

Stadium Regulations

Signs, large flags, banners, confetti, and live animal mascots will not be allowed in the field area or the stands. Use of airhorns is discouraged.

Team Area

Team areas will be on appropriate sides of the field. Dressing room assignments will be given during the coaches' meeting.

Awards

Teams will be asked to participate in the presentation of trophies and medals after each game. 25 medals are given to each team. Extra medals may be ordered at the tournament by filling out the form in the coaches' packet.

Introductions

Teams will be introduced approximately ten minutes prior to the start of each game.

Filming of Game(s)

Filming of the State Tournament will be done by Game Tapes. Each school will receive a copy and have an opportunity to purchase extras. Schools, fans, etc., may not videotape.

Schedule

All games will begin according to schedule unless an overtime game would alter the times.

Radio Broadcasting And Telecasting

The broadcasting and telecasting rights for these games shall be granted by the UIL. See the State Tournament Media Policy page for more information.

State Tie Breakers

In state tournament games, if the game ends in a tie, teams will play two ten (10) minute periods. If the game remains tied after the two 10 minute periods, a shootout will be used to determine a winner.
