NFHS Softball Rules Change

The change in softball pitching distance will take effect in 2010-2011.
(The distance will not change for the 2009-2010 school year):

Rule 1-1-2b - Changed the female fast-pitch pitching distance to 43 feet effective with the 2010-11 academic year.

2009-2010 Softball Dates

January 22 - First day for practice.
February 1 - First day for interschool scrimmages.
February 15 - First day for interschool games.
April 27 - District certification deadline.
May 4 - Bi-district deadline.
May 8 - Area deadline.
May 15 - Regional quarterfinal deadline.
May 22 - Regional semi-final deadline.
May 29 - Regional playoff deadline.
June 3-5 - State Tournament.
