Important Information: Pole Vault Coaches (4-22-09)
NFHS has provided updated information in regards to the label system requirements for the pole rating system. Based on the information provided from the owners of manufacturing companies, it is the position of NFHS and the UIL that pole vault competitors may use earlier model poles as legal using the engraving, provided the manufacturer's marking meets the requirements of Rule 7-5-3 and all other requirements for a legal pole are met.

Updates
Regional and State Meet Qualifiers and Alternates
All regional qualifiers, including alternates in individual events and relays, shall be eligible to participate in any event at a regional qualifiers meet.

Dates - 2010
- April 5-10: 1st week for district meets, 2A, 3A, 4A, & 5A
- April 10: District certification deadline, 1A
- April 12-17: Last week for district meets, 2A, 3A, 4A, & 5A
- April 17: Area certification deadline 1A
- May 3-4, Monday and Tuesday: Regional meets, all conferences
- May 14-15: State meet, all conferences
