Tournament Information

School Packets

School packets will be available for pickup beginning at 7:00 am, February 27, at the entrance of the Austin ISD Delco Center. Included in the school packets will be one program. Additional programs may be purchased from the program sellers. Certificates for each participant will be included in the team packet. PhotoTexas will take pictures of the awards ceremonies. Schools wishing to order copies of any pictures should use the order form included in this packet.

Parking

Parking is available at the Austin ISD Delco Center.

Food and Drinks

No outside food or drink may be brought into the Delco Center.

Noisemakers/Signs

No artificial noisemakers or large signs/banners are allowed in the Delco Center.

Team Honors

In district, regional and state tournaments, team honors shall be determined by the National Federation scoring standards detailed in the wrestling rule book. UIL will score six places for the boys and six places for the girls at the State Tournament.

Awards

The top three finishers in each weight class will receive medals. The top two teams will receive trophies or plaques.

Girls Awards Presentations

Awards will be presented upon completion of wrestling in the next highest weight class. Girls 95 lb. weight class awards will be presented upon completion of the 102 lb. weight class. Awards for 102 lb. weight class will be presented following the 110 lb. weight class, etc.

Boys Awards Presentations

Awards for the boys will follow the same schedule. Awards for 103 lb. weight class will be presented following the 112 lb. weight class. Awards for the 112 lb. weight class will follow the 119 lb. weight class, etc. On Saturday night, the Texas Wrestling Officials Association will induct new members into their Hall of Honor and Circle of Champions.

Weigh Ins

Weigh Ins for the UIL Wrestling State Championships will be held in accordance with Rule 4-5 of the National Federation Wrestling Rule Book. The times for official weigh ins are listed in the state tournament schedule. These times will not be altered or extended.

Alternates

Alternates will be placed in the bracket if the advancing wrestler is unable to attend. Once weigh ins for a particular weight class begin, there will be no substitution. Alternates will not replace wrestlers who fail to make weight.

Unsportsmanlike Conduct

According to National Federation rules, all points accumulated by a wrestler who is disqualified for an unsportsmanlike conduct violation will be deducted from the team score.

Locker Rooms

There are limited locker room facilities available at the Austin ISD Delco Center.
